Our workshop has finally began on Friday July 4th! Alessandro and I (Chiara) welcomed our students and guests at Rome Fiumicino airport and had a beautiful ride on the "Salaria road" to Contigliano (Rieti) in the very center of Italy. Contigliano has welcomed us very warmly (in every sense of the word!), although everyone seems to be concerned because "gli americani" don't eat enough! We're working on that at the moment, and we'll keep you posted on how it goes... Meanwhile, this blog will serve us as a journal throughout our days together in Italy: our students MEGAN, MARCELLA, MARISA, MATT, and CIRO (Tom) will post daily comments to share our experiences, journeys, and activities in here.. .. so stay tuned!!
